This work was composed for a concert in Tokyo in 2017 that featured piano pieces by Japanese composers. It is the composer's second work for solo piano. Although it is based on the idea of reexamining the piano, an instrument most familiar to the composer, the piece places greater emphasis on exploring unfamiliar territory and taking creative risks as a composer. The premiere was given by the composer herself.
