Crystal suite was composed between 2019 and 2022. The concept was that the work would be premiered several times, each time with an additional new movement.

 

The suite consists of three movements. In this piece, I composed with the idea of capturing a moment of beauty and developing it by changing its parameters. Changing parameters means revealing different aspects of a sound by varying its patterns of shading and resonance.

Each movement has its own key concept: the first movement depicts a polyhedron that reflects light and creates various shades; the second explores shades, brightness, and saturation; and the third focuses on different speeds and resonances. I named this suite Crystal because, like a polyhedron, it can generate diverse shades and reflections.
